Role of the School Nurse

School Nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing. School nurses promote the health, well being, and safety of every student. As a member of the educational team, the nurse supports student attendance, class participation and learning by collaborating with families and identifying and addressing health concerns and removing barriers that may impact the student's ability to reach their academic potential.
